Legal Experience
Attorney Alexis Kern is a local Graduate of Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. She achieved Dean's List recognition in the Fall of 2010. Ms. Kern served children and families in the field of education as a teacher for eleven years, and as an assistant principal, principal, and district level administrator for four more. In advocating for children as an educator, Ms. Kern always put every child's best interests first-place, and worked hard to achieve win-win outcomes for families facing difficult challenges. She brings a wealth of knowledge and an innately strong sense of justice from her experience in her former profession to her practice of the Law.
In addition to her legal studies, Alexis graduated from the University of New Mexico's Cooperative Educational Administrative Internship Program Summa Cum Laude with the Honor of Distinction, earning a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership. Her undergraduate work at California University of Pennsylvania prepared her well to become a conscientious, professional, and caring teacher. She has held Principal licensure in the State of Texas with the Texas Education Agency.

ATTORNEY PROFILE:
During her legal education, Ms. Kern served in Texas Wesleyan's Law Clinic representing economically disadvantaged clients. She has direct experience in divorce cases involving child custody and support, suits affecting the parent-child relationship, including termination of parental rights and intervention of third parties, as well as complex paternity issues.
